Starting therapy can feel daunting, and opening up to someone new isn’t always easy. I understand this first-hand, which is why creating a comfortable, welcoming space is a priority in my approach. I believe that a strong, trusting relationship is the foundation of any successful therapy.
Clients describe me as ‘relatable, easy to talk to, and down-to-earth’ yet ‘challenging’ and ‘real’ when it matters most. With over 15 years of experience, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Alcohol & Drug Counselor, and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. My background includes extensive work with substance use and mental health disorders, trauma recovery, and issues surrounding domestic violence.
In my sessions, I strive to create a safe, judgment-free space where you can explore and work through life’s toughest challenges. I approach therapy holistically, believing that healing the mind, body, and spirit is essential for overall well-being. In our sessions, I integrate these elements, helping you feel grounded and empowered to make meaningful changes. Together, we’ll work on transforming old patterns by exploring new ways of thinking and building coping skills for life’s stressors.
As a first-generation Ecuadorian American, I understand the complexities of balancing cultural values with personal goals. For my First-Gen Latinx clients, I am especially passionate about exploring boundaries and barriers, understanding the unique pressures to succeed as a trailblazer while honoring cultural values and family expectations.
